Greetings Validators,
The following are a couple of updates to the Monad Validator Delegation Program (VDP).
Following the temporary increase of the maximum validator commission cap from 10% to 20% earlier this year, the maximum validator commission cap is now being adjusted to 15%. This is in response to the continued maturation of the network and improving validator sustainability, while maintaining a balanced experience for delegators.
This change also coincides with onboarding a new wave of VDP participants, further strengthening the validator set and overall network diversity.
Action required: All VDP participants must ensure their commission rates are at or below 15% by Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM UTC in order to remain compliant with the VDP eligibility criteria. Validators not in compliance after this deadline may be subject to removal from the program.
In addition to these changes, the Foundation will be delegating an additional 10,000,000 MON to Tier 4 VDP participants for a total delegation of 25,000,000 MON.
